Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Northwest Freightways Ltd is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer unit to transport goods and materials across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring accurate and efficient handling
  • Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes
  • Operate and maintain tractor-trailer units, performing pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs and preventive maintenance
  • Communicate with central dispatch and relay information as needed
Requirements:
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Basic security clearance and criminal record check
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel cross-border
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
