Job Title: Companion Animal Veterinarian

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Companion Animal Veterinarian to join our team at Jagpal & Bains Enterprises Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality veterinary care to companion animals, including diagnosing and treating medical conditions, performing surgeries, and providing preventative care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and Treat Medical Conditions: Conduct physical examinations, take medical histories, and perform laboratory tests to diagnose medical conditions in companion animals.
  • Perform Surgeries: Perform surgical procedures to treat medical conditions, including setting bones, dressing wounds, and performing euthanasia.
  • Provide Preventative Care: Vaccinate animals to prevent and treat diseases, and provide advice on feeding, housing, behavior, breeding, hygiene, and general care of animals.
  • Manage Clinic Operations: Supervise animal health technologists and animal care workers, and be responsible for the overall operation of the animal hospital, clinic, or mobile service to farms.
Requirements:
  • Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Canadian Veterinary Medical Association Certification and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail, and will be required to work efficiently with excellent oral communication skills and as a team player.

Benefits:

As per collective agreement, with a permanent position and 40 hours of work per week.
