About the Role
Flex-N-Gate, a leading manufacturer and supplier of components for the automotive industry, is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As a vital member of our organization, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical control systems and equipment, including relay logic, PLC controls, motor controls, and moulding equipment.
- Maintain all electrical/electronic equipment in a production-capable state, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Connect, disconnect, and re-connect electrical/electronic equipment as needed, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Interpret and apply Canadian Electrical Code requirements to ensure compliance and safety.
- Design and build simple control systems and panels, utilizing your technical expertise to drive innovation.
- Install feeds to new machinery, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
Requirements
- Hold a 442A Industrial Electrician License (additional 309A & 309D licenses are an asset).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, with a strong background in electrical systems and troubleshooting.
- Excellent trouble-shooting, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and blueprints, with a strong understanding of electrical principles and safety protocols.
- PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi) is an asset, as is the ability to interpret hydraulic and pneumatic drawings and circuits.
- Shift work is required, with the majority of the position being on the midnight shift.
