At First Call Construction, we are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes on our construction projects.
Responsibilities:- Filling hollows and removing spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
- Operating power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure it sets correctly.
- Leveling top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification to meet our high standards.
- Applying hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and prevent damage.
- Waterproofing, damp proofing, and restoring surfaces to their original condition.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in construction or a related field.
- Excellent physical stamina, as this role involves working in a dusty environment with physically demanding tasks.
- Steel-toed safety boots and other necessary personal protective equipment.
- Efficient interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
This role involves working in a variety of locations, including commercial and residential sites, with a typical workweek of 30-35 hours.
