Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Novarc Technologies is a pioneering robotics company specializing in the design and manufacturing of cobots and AI-based machine vision solutions for autonomous welding. As a leader in the field, we are dedicated to solving challenging welding automation problems that improve customers' bottom lines.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our growing software team and support the development of high-quality AI and ML solutions. Reporting to the Technical Lead Manager, Machine Learning, this role is responsible for leading the development of automated welding solutions using robust machine learning algorithms.

The successful candidate will have talent in applied machine learning to improve, optimize and lead the further development of our AI platform. Key responsibilities include:

- Designing and developing advanced machine learning models;
- Collaborating with AI researchers, data scientists, and engineers to integrate machine learning into our AI platform;
- Applying current emerging techniques, technologies, and tools to drive innovation;
- Developing and utilizing algorithms and models to mine big-data stores;
- Performing data and error analysis to improve models;

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A deep understanding of Computer Vision concepts, including image processing, object detection, image segmentation, feature extraction, and recognition algorithms;
- Strong knowledge and experience in various machine learning techniques, such as supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, convolutional neural networks (CNNs), recurrent neural networks (RNNs), and transfer learning;
- Proficiency in C++ and Python programming languages, with experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV;
- Strong software development skills to build efficient and scalable machine learning models and applications;
- Familiarity with popular deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch;
- Ability to preprocess and augment image data effectively to improve model performance and generalization;
