About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Animal Care Attendant to join our team at the Sunshine Coast Animal Centre in Sechelt, BC. As a key member of our animal care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of the animals in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the animal enclosures and facilities
  • Provide daily care and attention to the animals, including feeding, watering, and exercise
  • Monitor the health and welfare of the animals and report any concerns to the Animal Centre Manager
  • Assist with animal adoptions and provide information to potential adopters
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class N or 5 BC Drivers' License and driver's abstract
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects
  • Computer experience: Windows, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
