Job Description

NBM Railways is a leading transportation and logistics company that operates in the northeastern United States and Atlantic Canada. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Director to join our team in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic HR Leadership: Partner with our leadership team to develop and execute human resources strategies, programs, and processes that drive business results and support our company's growth.
  2. Talent Management: Coach and develop HR professionals who serve as the primary point of contact for employees, leaders, and external contacts on all human resources matters.
  3. HR Program Development: Oversee the rollout of critical HR programs, including attraction and retention, workforce planning, performance management, leadership development, compensation, and employee engagement.
  4. Business Partnership: Anticipate business needs and provide HR leadership, solutions, and coaching to support our company's goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
  1. Education: Completion of an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or a related discipline. CPHR Designation is an asset.
  2. Experience: Experience in a progressive human resources management role, with a proven track record in leading highly engaged teams and working with non-salaried employees.
  3. Skills: Superior communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to plan, manage, execute, and lead at both the strategic and operational levels.
  4. Personal Qualities: Energetic, enthusiastic, and team-oriented, with a commitment to excellence and a passion for delivering results.
