About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Jungle Jim's Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Kitchen Staff

Lead and manage a team of kitchen staff, including cooks, dishwashers, and food preparation assistants, to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.

Quality Control and Assurance

Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all food and beverages meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation.

Inventory Management and Record Keeping

Manage inventory levels, maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and ensure that all kitchen equipment and supplies are properly maintained.

Training and Development

Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff on food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques, as well as on kitchen safety and sanitation procedures.

Inspect and Maintain Kitchen Areas

Conduct regular inspections of kitchen areas to ensure that they are clean, safe, and well-maintained, and make recommendations for improvements as needed.

Prepare and Submit Reports

Prepare and submit regular reports on kitchen operations, including inventory levels, sales data, and quality control metrics.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or kitchen management role

Language

English

Work Hours

35 to 40 hours per week
