We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Counsellor to join our team at Briercrest College and Seminary. As a Clinical Counsellor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain positive, trusting relationships with clients
  • Diagnose and treat mental health illnesses and/or disorders
  • Create individualized treatment plans based on client needs and circumstances
  • Meet with clients regularly to provide counselling, treatment, and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Conduct ongoing informal assessment of client progress
  • Perform all duties within relevant regulations and guidelines
  • Involve and advise family members when appropriate
  • Consult with the client's healthcare team when necessary
  • Refer clients to outside specialists or agencies when required
  • Maintain thorough records of client meetings, consultations, and progress
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, counselling, or a related field with supervised clinical hours
  • Current provincial and/or federal licensing requirements
  • Current professional liability insurance
  • Several years of clinical experience (advantageous)
  • Experience or skill working with families and/or children (advantageous)
