About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our Mobile Maintenance team at the Detour Lake Mine site.

As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, including haul trucks, shovels, and drills.

Responsibilities
  • Perform regular servicing, preventative maintenance, and repairs on heavy equipment
  • Use computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of required repairs
  • Repair hydraulic, powertrain, and electrical systems
  • Identify and report part requirements and supplies as needed
  • Prepare electronic service reports and documentation in a timely manner
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work area
Qualifications
  • Experience with ultra-class mining equipment, including Caterpillar shovels and Epiroc drills
  • Minimum five years' related experience in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ontario Provincial or Inter-Provincial Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certificate is considered an asset
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED
  • Computer literate and proven knowledge of CAT ET & SIS Web
  • Focused and self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
