Job Title: Family Childcare Provider

We are seeking a reliable and caring Family Childcare Provider to join our team at Laura Scheim. As a Family Childcare Provider, you will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare services to families in a safe and healthy environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, ensuring the children's safety and well-being.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and organized home.
  • Wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens to ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, promoting their physical and emotional development.
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, maintaining a positive and respectful relationship.
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, encouraging their growth and learning.
  • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children, promoting their physical and mental well-being.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring the children's dietary needs are met.
  • Supervise and care for children, providing a nurturing and supportive environment.
  • Take children to and from school and to appointments, ensuring their transportation needs are met.
  • Tend to the emotional well-being of children, providing a listening ear and emotional support.
  • Help children with homework, promoting their academic development and success.
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in childcare or a related field.
  • Permanent employment opportunity.
  • Language of work: English or French.
  • 40 hours per week.
