Job Title: Steel Stud Framer

HI-Beam Contractors Ltd is seeking a skilled Steel Stud Framer to join our team. As a Steel Stud Framer, you will be responsible for constructing and installing steel studs and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.

Work Environment

Our Steel Stud Framer will work in a fast-paced construction environment, often at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty conditions. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Steel-toed safety boots and hard hat
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty conditions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
