About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technologist to join our team at EMEC Design Group LTD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems, including the creation of detailed drawings and specifications.
  • Operations and Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and operation of mechanical plants and installations, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Project Management: Coordinate and manage mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Carry out a range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials.
  • Develop and prepare design sketches and documentation packages.
  • Estimate costs and materials for mechanical projects.
  • Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications.
  • Supervise maintenance programs and operation of mechanical plants.
  • Supervise, monitor, and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English as the primary language of work.
  • 40 hours per week.
