Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a skilled driver to operate our fleet of float trucks, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of equipment and materials.

Responsibilities:

  1. Operate tractor-trailer combinations to transport equipment and materials on local routes;
  2. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and condition;
  3. Secure cargo properly according to safety regulations and follow procedures for transporting goods;
  4. Record cargo information, distance traveled, and fuel consumption;
  5. Administer bills of lading and maintain electronic logbooks;
  6. Communicate with dispatchers, other drivers, and customers using communication devices and onboard computers;
  7. Perform emergency roadside repairs as needed;
  8. Operate equipment safely and efficiently to minimize risk of injury and property damage;

Requirements:

  1. Valid AZ Driver's License;
  2. At least 3 years' driving experience;
  3. Ability to drive different types of equipment;
  4. Good knowledge of permits, load security, and dimension of loads;
  5. Good paperwork skills;
  6. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends when required;
  7. Experience with float trucks considered an asset;
