Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Kitchen Helper to join our team at New Nugget Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our dining area and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and serve food and beverages to our guests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including the dishwashing area, storage areas, and equipment.
- Operate dishwashers, washing machines, and other kitchen equipment as needed.
- Restock supplies and condiments as required.
- Assist with food preparation, including portioning and wrapping foods.
- Participate in cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, and storage areas.
- Handle and store cleaning products and chemicals safely.
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and tidy dining area.
- Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
- Participate in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, including adhering to food safety and handling procedures.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and stand for long periods.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
