Job Title: Lead Business Insights Analyst

Location: Toronto, ON

Job Overview:

Lorven Technologies is seeking a skilled Lead Business Insights Analyst to enhance our analytical capabilities. The ideal candidate will be adept at gathering client requirements, formulating user narratives, and establishing acceptance criteria while adhering to industry best practices. This role requires a deep understanding of the technological implications within development processes and their influence on business stakeholders. Furthermore, the successful applicant will oversee client expectation management, evaluate UI/UX frameworks, draft and assess specifications, and scrutinize business workflows. A robust background in IT initiatives, particularly in WEB solution architecture, familiarity with the Agile methodology, and superior communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and articulate client expectations and requirements

• Develop user narratives and acceptance criteria through Behavioral Driven Development

• Uphold best practices and ensure their implementation

• Analyze the technological impacts on development and their repercussions for business clients

• Deliver high-quality outputs within set timelines

• Manage client expectations effectively

• Evaluate UI/UX designs critically

• Draft and review specifications (user narratives)

• Collect business requirements via user narratives, prototyping, and other methods

• Assess current business processes, pinpoint gaps, and identify improvement opportunities

• Design future business processes and conduct impact and feasibility assessments of requirements

• Provide regular status updates

• Experience in Capital Market and/or Real Estate sectors is preferred

Required Skills:

• Over 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT projects

• Proficiency in WEB solution architecture (REST API-based, microservices)

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (SCRUM)

• Expertise in requirements elicitation techniques such as workshops, document analysis, and interviews

• Competence in requirements documentation through User Narratives and Software Requirements Specifications (SRS)

• A calm, agile, positive, proactive, yet pragmatic approach

• Excellent communication, client management, and teamwork skills

• Solid experience with data visualization tools and technical modeling (UML)

Preferred Skills:

• Technical background is advantageous

• Knowledge of risk domains with experience in developing data pipelines is a plus.
