Purpose and Summary of the Role

This position involves performing skilled maintenance to ensure the functionality of facilities by taking responsibility for repairs and cleaning. The ideal candidate will possess skills and knowledge across various trades, including welding, machine shop, sheet metal, carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and auto repair.

Main Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough troubleshooting of maintenance problems and provide effective solutions.
- Ensure equipment operates safely and complies with OSHA regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance on the facility, including roof repairs and/or equipment maintenance.
- Communicate issues with the Maintenance Supervisor as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform preventative maintenance and skilled repairs on complex electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems.
- Monitor equipment performance, safety, and effectiveness according to established procedures.
- Analyze equipment failures to complete preventative and unscheduled maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems, documenting equipment modifications and maintenance details in designated systems.
- Perform maintenance work using tools and skills needed for various trades, including welding, machine shop, sheet metal, carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and auto repair.
- Utilize initiative and judgment in executing assignments, which may involve design, construction, and installation of equipment, including building, electrical, HVAC, air system, plumbing, hydraulic.
- Install, repair, and maintain equipment and machinery.
- Conduct regular PM on all equipment and machinery.
- Replace parts as necessary.
- Operate overhead cranes and mobile cranes as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues as necessary.
- Perform tasks in all lower classifications.
- Work under minimal supervision.
- Provide training to lower-level colleagues as needed.

Requirements

- Experience in Pneumatic and/or hydraulic equipment is required. Must be able to read electrical schematics and have mechanical aptitude and plumbing skills.

Skills and Qualifications

- Knowledge and ability to perform complex electrical, mechanical, and plumbing maintenance and repairs.
- Ability to use small hand and power tools to make repairs or perform building maintenance as needed.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, automation, and environmental controls.
- Ability to use judgment in executing assignments.
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with contractors, consultants, employees, and management.
- Compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Flexible and able to prioritize tasks effectively.

Work Schedule:

- Swing Shift Position: Monday-Friday (2:00-10:30pm PT)
- Weekend Shift Position: Friday-Sunday (6am-6:30pm PT) and Saturday-Monday (6am-6:30pm PT)
