Job Summary

We are seeking a Part-Time Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures, analyzing results, and providing accurate and timely reporting to healthcare professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including hematology, chemistry, and transfusion medicine
  • Analyze results and provide accurate and timely reporting to healthcare professionals
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulatory requirements
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • CMLTO registration required
  • CSMLS or MLPOA certification required
  • Experience in hematology, chemistry, and transfusion medicine preferred
  • Willingness and ability to upgrade through continuing education programs required
  • Good customer service, interpersonal, and telephone skills required
  • Good organizational, time management, and prioritization skills required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills required
  • Good problem-solving skills required
  • Computer literacy required; Cerner experience preferred
  • Ability to produce high-quality work in accordance with hospital standards required
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment required
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under stressful situations required
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member required
  • Ability to work alone on nights and weekends as required
