Job Summary

The Senior Quantitative Treasury Analyst is a key member of the Treasury team at Alterna Savings, responsible for developing and implementing procedures for interest rate risk measurement and management. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and expertise in financial modeling, data analysis, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain advanced financial models to analyze and manage interest rate risk
  • Prepare and analyze balance sheet risk reports for the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO)
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement risk management strategies
  • Ensure accurate and timely data for risk management reporting systems
  • Perform statistical analysis to support financial modeling and risk management decisions
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in economics, accounting, finance, mathematics, or computer science
  • Professional accounting or finance designation (CFA, MBA, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial industry, preferably in Treasury or Risk Management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office suite and system analytical tools
  • Knowledge of capital markets, money markets, and financial derivatives
  • Experience with treasury, banking systems, and financial products & services technologies
Competencies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
