Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented General Labourer to join our team at HIGHEND BLINDS INC. As a General Labourer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the smooth operation of our warehouse and production facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
  • Order Fulfillment: Pick orders and stock, and ship orders to customers in a timely manner.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials and products.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products.
  • Labeling and Packaging: Make labels and attach to goods, and pack and unpack goods for shipping.
  • Sorting and Stacking: Sort, crate, and stack goods for storage and shipping.
  • Transportation: Transport and distribute materials and goods to and from the warehouse and production facilities.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Work in a fast-paced warehouse and production environment with repetitive tasks and handling of heavy loads.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods of time.

  • Cultural Competency: Provides cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers, newcomers, and refugees.
  • Youth Support: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
