About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our IT Technology team at Canopy Growth. As a key member of our infrastructure operations team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our global network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement network architectures to meet business requirements
  • Analyze and design network solutions to address complex issues
  • Own and operate Canopy Growth's network security infrastructure, including design, implementation, and maintenance
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity
  • Provide 24/7 support for our international markets and serve as a technical authority for projects
  • Design, develop, and assess technical solutions to address complex network issues
  • Ensure the integration of all aspects of network solutions
  • Recommend options for resolving network design issues
  • Define and document interfaces within the network, to external systems, and between new and existing systems
  • Produce and manage network architectural designs and guidance
  • Provide technical documentation for remote installation and management of Canopy Growth systems
  • Design, installation, and configuration of internal and customer-facing servers, network devices, and firewalls
  • Maintain configuration management of Firewall and network devices
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages as escalated from operations teams
  • Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments, and contingency plans
  • Work with IT Security to ensure compliance with policies and monitoring of network elements
Requirements
  • 7-10 years' experience as a Network Engineer, Network Architect, or similar role
  • Administering and supporting core HP, WatchGuard, Cisco, and HPE technologies
  • Maintaining inventory and asset configuration documentation
  • Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN, MPLS, SDWAN), and patch management
  • Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems, NVR)
  • Data backup/recovery technologies
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; professional certifications a plus
