At Paradise Pools and Landscaping, we are seeking a skilled Brickmason to join our team. As a Brickmason, you will be responsible for constructing and installing masonry structures, including walls, chimneys, and fireplaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to construct walls, chimneys, and fireplaces.
  • Estimate materials and tools required for projects and ensure accurate calculations.
  • Lay bricks and other masonry units to build residential and commercial structures.
  • Construct and install prefabricated masonry units, such as patios and garden walls.
  • Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required for projects.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages to complete tasks.
  • Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers on site.
  • Lay bricks or other masonry units to build chimneys and fireplaces.
  • Supervise other workers and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Line or reline furnaces, kilns, boilers, and similar installations using refractory or acid-resistant bricks and materials.
  • Restore, clean, or paint existing masonry structures.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 5 years or more of experience in the field, or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other necessary personal protective equipment.
  • Basic security clearance.
  • Ability to work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Working Conditions

The Brickmason will work in a variety of settings, including construction sites, warehouses, and offices. The work environment will be physically demanding, with regular exposure to dust, noise, and other hazards.
