Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Iron Tester to join our team at Magnum Cementing Services. As an Iron Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the maintenance and operation of our high-pressure pumping units and treating iron equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform annual iron testing on all Magnum high-pressure pumping units and auxiliary high-pressure treating iron.
  • Rebuild valves, chiksans, positive displacement pumps, and pressure relief valves.
  • Maintain certification systems and work with crews to complete annual iron testing efficiently.
  • Operate air-driven fluid pumps to pressure up treating iron for testing.
  • Perform station/unit audits to verify banding, chips, iron inventory, and other critical components.
  • Coordinate Mag Particle and thickness testing for plug loading heads and other treating iron as required.
  • Support the Parts department with centralized iron ordering and coordinate the replacement and repair of damaged iron.
  • Collect and organize out-of-service iron for salvage or recycling.
  • Assist with incident ingestion and root cause analysis.
  • Audit systems to ensure compliance with company safety policies and HSE legislation.
Qualifications
  • Driver's license with a clean driver's abstract/record.
  • Physically capable of moving/lifting heavy objects up to 23 kg, bending, standing, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.
  • Computer literacy, record-keeping, and ability to build out reports and procedures.
  • Able to perform all regular maintenance on equipment.
  • Familiar with operating and maintaining automated machinery, hand, and power tools.
  • Maintenance knowledge, mechanically inclined, and the ability to troubleshoot.

  • Experience with MS Office and/or other software tools.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to change.
  • Understands the importance of safety.
  • Demonstrated initiative and results-oriented.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
