About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team at OpenText. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial support to sales, corporate finance, and senior management teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure full compliance with ASC 606, US GAAP, and internal policies and procedures relating to revenue recognition and reporting.
  • Prepare audit paperwork, written summaries for large license sales, and participate in quarterly contract review of all license sales with external audit teams.
  • Supervise Revenue Recognition staff and timely escalate all unresolved issues.
  • Conduct training sessions for sales and finance staff and update and keep current the OpenText Revenue Recognition policy.
  • Collaborate with counterparts in the OpenText "Deal Desk" to ensure adherence to US GAAP revenue recognition rules.
  • Review SSP studies and assist with SOX compliance.
Requirements
  • Accounting-related university degree and a CA/CMA/US CPA designation.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP Revenue Recognition rules and knowledge or experience with new revenue recognition rules (Topic 606).
  • Several years of leadership/management of teams experience.
  • Exceptional written communication skills and software industry experience.
  • Exceptional relationship building skills with senior management and executive levels.
  • Ability to assess business risk and suggest alternatives to sales managers.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to SOX processes essential.
  • SAP and RAR experience.
