We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Therapist to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide assessment and planning, treatment and intervention, and crisis management for clients. This includes participating in quality initiatives, engaging in collaborative person-centred care, and utilizing available information technology to support best practice.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop comprehensive care plans for clients
  • Provide individual and group evidence-informed therapies based on client needs
  • Collaborate with families to implement family-sensitive services that promote client recovery
  • Participate in crisis intervention, suicide, and violence risk assessment/intervention

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in a clinical health-related discipline and current registration with a relevant provincial regulatory body. They must also have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of standard criteria used for classification and diagnosis of mental health disorders.

Requirements
  • Master's degree in a clinical health-related discipline
  • Current registration with a relevant provincial regulatory body
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of standard criteria used for classification and diagnosis of mental health disorders
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multiple software applications
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

As a Clinical Therapist with the Nova Scotia Health Authority, you can expect a competitive salary of $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience.
