Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately book journal entries into our accounting system, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Maintain organized records of journal entries, reconciliations, analyses, and supporting documentation for audit and compliance purposes
  • Prepare and analyze reconciliations for various financial statement line items, such as prepaid assets, fixed assets, and accruals, in a timely manner
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting practices
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze data and provide insights to support month-end close processes and financial reporting
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of industry best practices, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements
  • Actively contribute to the team's success and foster a positive and collaborative work environment
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, college diploma, or equivalent certification
  • CPA or relevant professional certification is a plus
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably with exposure to month-end close processes
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, data analysis, and pivot tables
  • Experience with NetSuite or other ERP system is highly desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges
  • Proactive and self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic
