Qualifications and Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Island Health. The successful candidate will possess a strong educational background in Radiology Technology and certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of recent experience in an acute hospital setting, including one year of experience performing Computed Tomography scans. They will also possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Computed Tomography scanners to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Develop and implement effective patient care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information and imaging results
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with the latest imaging technologies and techniques

  • Strong knowledge of Computed Tomography procedures and protocols
