About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team at Amazon Web Services Canada, Inc. As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions for our Financial Services customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build deep relationships with Financial Services customers to understand their business needs and provide tailored cloud solutions.
  • Support the adoption and migration of applications, software, and services onto the AWS platform, in partnership with the sales team.
  • Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
  • Contribute to AWS internal and customer-facing publications, such as whitepapers and blogs, to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Act as a liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support to address customer needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, software development, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional, or Cloud DevOps Engineering) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
