Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at Macewen Petroleuem. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.
  • Journal Entries: Post journal entries and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide insights and recommendations to management.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Skills: MS Excel, MS Windows, MS Word, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
