Job Summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Patient Food Services department, you will be responsible for the production and preparation of high-quality food for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes and guidelines

• Monitor food quality throughout the preparation, cooking, and serving process

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards

• Ensure proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed at all times

• Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and execute large-scale meal production and bulk food assembly

Requirements

• 1-2 year Culinary College Diploma or equivalent experience

• Food Service experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting

• Food Handler's Certification and knowledge of WHMIS + HACCP regulations

• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and multiple production responsibilities

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Working Conditions

• Monday-Sunday, days and hour shifts, with every other weekend

• Salary: $ to $ per hour
