Job Title: Designer - Intelligent Integrated Systems

At Smith + Andersen, we are seeking a highly skilled Designer - Intelligent Integrated Systems to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and engineering audiovisual, telecommunications, security, and intelligent building systems for our clients.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audiovisual, telecommunications, or security design and engineering, with a minimum of two years of experience in the field. You will be responsible for producing all deliverables necessary for project completion, including tender documentation, design briefs, cost documentation, site reports, and computer models. You will also work closely with project managers to prepare all system engineering concepts and ensure proper coordination of documents with the internal and external project team.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with project managers to prepare all system engineering concepts.
• Ensure proper coordination of documents with the internal and external project team.
• Responsible for reviewing all deliverables for the project, including reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Promote and enforce company standards relating to project administration, documentation, and processes.
• Act as contract administrator for designated projects, ensuring timely completion of all contract administration activities.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in audiovisual, telecommunications, or security design and engineering, with a minimum of two years of experience in the field. You will also have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, CAD/Revit, MS Project, and Visio, as well as a full understanding of codes and standards relevant to the project. Additionally, you will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
