About YouWe are looking for a qualified Dietitian with a strong background in clinical nutrition. Your ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Foods and Nutrition, a Dietetic Internship Program, and current registration with the Nova Scotia Dietetic Association. A minimum of one year of experience as a Dietitian is preferred, with inpatient clinical nutrition experience being an asset. You will also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Provide expert nutrition advice and care to patients, families, and communities
- Develop and implement nutrition plans to promote healthy eating habits and prevent disease
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality and continuity of care
- Participate in the Integrated Dietetic Internship program, including preceptoring Dietetic Interns
- Contribute to the development and implementation of nutrition policies and procedures
- Bachelor's degree in Foods and Nutrition
- Dietetic Internship Program
- Current registration with the Nova Scotia Dietetic Association
- Minimum one year of experience as a Dietitian
- Inpatient clinical nutrition experience an asset
- Competency in dysphagia management, enteral and parenteral nutrition
- Experience counselling patients in an outpatient setting
- Current WHMIS an asset
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, problem solve, and work under pressure of time limitations
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
We offer a competitive salary range of $32.31 - $42.58 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.
