Production Area Lead

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Production Area Lead to support our Finishing End area in our OSB manufacturing process. The successful candidate will lead daily operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
About the Role:
The Production Area Lead will be responsible for collaborating with the Production Manager and other department leads to optimize production efficiency, minimize downtime, and resolve operational challenges. They will also implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process reliability, product quality, and overall mill performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations within the designated functional area
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality improvement projects
- Analyze process data and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
- Drive initiatives to reduce waste and improve energy efficiency
- Ensure compliance with product specifications and quality control standards
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within an OSB manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated expertise in process optimization, equipment troubleshooting, and lean manufacturing principles
- Solid understanding of safety regulations, environmental compliance, and quality management systems
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year (depending on location and experience)
