Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Shunter Driver to join our team at the London Brewery location. As a Shunter Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving trailers of packaging materials, dunnage, and finished goods within the brewery.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) to produce quality beer.
- Work in a safe manner and follow all EH&S safety policies/procedures.
- Complete all required safety checks.
- Abide by London Brewery Rules and Departmental policies.
- Follow required BRC/HACCP standards.
- Proactively communicate with colleagues and managers on issues affecting the business.
- Maintain excellent attendance and arrive for work on time.
- Strive for continuous improvement in all job functions and within the department.
- Assist co-workers to resolve production issues and ask for help when necessary.
Requirements
- AZ License with a minimum of 5 years of driving experience and an accident-free record.
- Clean Driver's Abstract with no major convictions or suspensions.
- Willingness to be trained on warehouse and forklift duties.
- Basic mechanical understanding.
- Ability to safely and efficiently maneuver multiple trailer sizes and Tractor types, including B-Trains, Quad axles, yard, and highway tractors in tight spaces and traffic.
- Willingness to learn the new Inventory Management System.
Working Conditions
- Shift work is required.
- Ability to work standard 40-hour M-F work week or modified weekend work shift (2 x 12-hour shifts).
- Ability to work overtime when required.
- Ability to meet all physical demands of the job, including lifting, frequent stair climbing, bending, sitting, standing, and walking on uneven surfaces.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Self-starter with the ability to plan your workday to supply required trailers in an efficient manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with peers, supervisors, and 3rd-party contractors both in a team and individually.
- Organized and takes pride in their work.
