About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Visual Designer to join our Branded Editions Team at PressReader. As a Visual Designer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the visual communication, brand identity, and user experience for our stakeholders and publishers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all visual aspects of Branded Editions products for partners, including custom HTML5 landing pages, native apps, app store imagery, and app store descriptions.
  • Develop layout and templates for new Compiled Editions products.
  • Create concepts, ideas, designs, and other creative assets to aid in the sale and positioning of Branded Editions and Compiled Editions products to publishers and content creators.
  • Stay current on trends in visual design.
  • Conduct research or investigation as needed to support design requirements for clients, including understanding client brands.
  • Manage app store uploads, app updates, and in-app purchasing configuration and updates in conjunction with clients.
  • Collaborate with BE colleagues to ensure products align with client needs, are completed on time, and meet app store requirements.
  • Engage with PressReader's Creative Lab to ensure alignment with corporate brand for sales enablement and BE/CE marketing materials.
  • Support and mentor design co-op students.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Content Group and other departments as required.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of work experience in a graphic design studio, user experience design, or related field.
  • An exceptional portfolio of design work demonstrating innovative and broad skillset.
  • Expertise in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, and CSS.
  • Coding-level knowledge of HTML and CSS, including ability to modify existing codes to fix minor CSS issues.
  • Familiarity with project management systems like Wrike or Trello.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong collaborator with a team-oriented mindset.
  • Proven adaptability and flexibility in responding to evolving project requirements, tools, and feedback.
  • A highly organized individual with strong time management skills.
  • The ability to develop innovative solutions to design challenges.
  • A degree or equivalent experience in Human-Computer Interaction, UX/UI Design, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A passion for new technologies and staying up-to-date with the latest OS updates from Apple or Android.
  • A keen interest in the publishing industry and enthusiasm for collaborating with publishers.
  • Experience working with developers for web and mobile applications.

PressReader is committed to providing a fair compensation package, including a 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision benefit plan; 15 paid vacation days to start; health and wellness days and bereavement days; reimbursements for professional training and membership in professional associations; fitness subsidy and more.

The pay range for this role is $60,000 to $75,000 depending on experience.
