Project Quality Lead Position

Kiewit Nuclear Canada is seeking a skilled Project Quality Lead to join our team in Oakville, Canada. As a key member of our quality management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing contract-specific Project Quality Plans (PQPs) to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement PQPs to guarantee compliance with contractual obligations and industry best practices.
- Review and approve subcontractor quality plans to ensure adherence to contractual requirements and regulatory standards.
- Assign, train, and qualify quality staff to execute PQPs effectively.
- Mentor junior QA/QC personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Foster positive relationships with clients while understanding their needs and expectations.
- Interpret quality standards and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate closely with district quality management to achieve common goals.
- Conduct causal analysis investigations to identify potential risks and trends.
- Perform QA audits and assessments to evaluate project performance.
- Analyze findings to inform operational planning sessions and drive improvement initiatives.
- Ensure quality documentation required for project turnover is complete and compliant.
- Present at meetings to promote quality goals and objectives.
- Conduct routine performance reviews with project quality staff.

Requirements

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Management in nuclear, civil construction, oil and gas, or power industries.
- Proven background as a QA/QC Inspector in large scope projects.
- Experience managing a team of quality inspectors.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to ethics and integrity.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel and relocate as business requires.
