- Authorize Payments by Cheque: Process payments and manage cash handling procedures.
- Order Merchandise: Source and purchase merchandise to meet customer demand and maintain store inventory levels.
- Authorize Return of Merchandise: Process returns and exchanges, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining store inventory levels.
- Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and meet business needs.
- Sell Merchandise: Provide excellent customer service, promoting and selling merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Prepare Reports on Sales Volumes, Merchandising and Personnel Matters: Analyze sales data, identify trends, and provide insights to inform business decisions.
- Resolve Issues that May Arise: Address customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may impact store operations.
- Organize and Maintain Inventory: Manage store inventory, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and merchandise is displayed effectively.
- Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities of Workers: Lead and manage the activities of sales associates, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
- Language: English.
- Work Setting: Retail business.
- Security and Safety: Criminal record check.
- Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player, dependability, excellent written communication, initiative, judgement, ability to multitask.
