Thornbury Community Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Disabilities Support Worker to join our team. As a valued member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities to live safe and fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centered care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of personalized care plans, ensuring the unique needs and goals of each individual are met.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in learning disabilities care.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and excellent outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months of experience in UK-based learning disabilities care.
- Confidence in performing physical interventions and restraint training.
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
