Principal Architectural Designer

We're a rapidly growing Design & Engineering company based in Orillia, Ontario, with a focus on innovative projects. We're seeking a talented Senior Architectural Designer to join our dynamic team.
About the Role:
As a Senior Architectural Designer, you'll work closely with our Leadership Team to design and apply your knowledge of REVIT software to various projects. You'll analyze architectural plans, draw amendments, and produce Autodesk Revit drawings from preliminary concepts.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Design Managers to prepare conceptual design drawings.
- Analyze architectural plans, draw amendments, and use Autodesk Revit software with minimal supervision.
- Produce Autodesk Revit drawings from preliminary concepts, including technical drafting and specifications.
- Prepare and facilitate schematic plans, designs, and construction drawings for architectural projects.
- Work with Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical teams to complete designs and resolve challenges.
- Coordinate with builders throughout construction.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Review and mark-up construction drawings for accuracy and detail.
Qualifications:
- University degree or college certificate in Architecture, Construction, Engineering, or Design.
- Competent understanding of the Building Code, including BCIN Certifications in Legal & House or higher.
- Fluent/Expert in Revit, with experience in rapid designing, creating families, issuing document packages, and managing linked models.
- High Proficiency in Bluebeam.
- Ideal 5+ years of experience managing construction project designs, preferably in the residential/commercial sector.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with strong leadership and customer service skills.
- Solution-focused, team player with a fast-paced work environment.
