Job Title:

Plumbing Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

Tight Lines Plumbing and Heating is seeking a skilled and certified plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing systems installation, repair, and maintenance. This is a permanent position with a 35-40 hour workweek.

Responsibilities:
  • Installation: Install domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
  • Repair: Repair domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
  • Planning: Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Training: Instruct apprentices.
  • Site Preparation: Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Pipe Fitting: Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Piping Requirements: Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
  • Pipe Measurement and Cutting: Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
Requirements:
  • Certifications: Plumber Trade Certification.
  • Security Clearance: Basic security clearance.
  • Driving Record: Driving record check (abstract).
  • Transportation: Vehicle supplied by employer.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license.
Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding job that requires bending, crouching, and kneeling. The successful candidate will be required to work on construction sites, in commercial and residential settings.
