About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at VON Canada. As a Continuing Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to clients in their homes and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as grooming, dressing, and bathing.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, and help clients maintain their independence.
  • Plan and prepare meals and light household duties to ensure clients' needs are met.
  • Monitor and maintain household safety, and provide respite care as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
Requirements
  • Continuing Care Assistant Certification (CCA) or equivalent.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
