We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at VON Canada. As a Continuing Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to clients in their homes and communities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as grooming, dressing, and bathing.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, and help clients maintain their independence.
- Plan and prepare meals and light household duties to ensure clients' needs are met.
- Monitor and maintain household safety, and provide respite care as needed.
- Work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Continuing Care Assistant Certification (CCA) or equivalent.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
