Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybercrime Investigator to join our Cyber & Security Investigations team in Toronto, Canada.

About the Role:

The Senior Cybercrime Investigator will be responsible for conducting forensic and information/cyber security investigations, incident response activities, management reporting, and special projects. The role requires strong technical skills, including digital forensics, civil and criminal investigation, and experience with industry-standard tools and methodologies.

The ideal candidate will have +3 years of current and working knowledge in all aspects of digital forensics, civil and criminal investigation, or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree in an approved field from an accredited university and a minimum of +2 years of documented and relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide digital forensic services, including examination of computers and other digital devices, digital evidence preservation, recovery, analysis, electronic mail extraction, and database examination.
  • Maintain proper chain of custody and ensure all evidence recovery and collection methods are conducted, managed, and archived in a manner consistent to maintain preservation and protection of data and evidence in its original form.
  • Identify, acquire, recover, cleanse, mine, and secure large sets of electronically stored information.
  • Manage and perform comprehensive technical analyses and interpret computer-related evidence, such as e-mail, accounting software, various databases, and information stored on electronic devices using specially designed forensic software and hardware.
  • Plan, manage, and complete electronic discovery, digital forensic, and information/cyber security investigations, and related services for large data sets.
Requirements:
  • +3 years of current and working knowledge in all aspects of digital forensics, civil and criminal investigation, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications and membership of associations in the field of information/cyber security and digital forensics is desired.
