Job Title: Tile Fitter - Installation and Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Tile Fitter to join our team at HORIZON TILES LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining tiles in residential settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered with tiles
  • Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using hand trowel
  • Prepare rough plans and sketches for tile installation
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to base
  • Align and straighten tiles
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for tile installation projects
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
  • Supervise other workers on tile installation projects
  • Cut, surface, polish and install marble and granite
  • Estimate costs and materials for tile installation projects

Requirements:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile installation
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 35 hours per week
