Job Title: Flooring Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Specialist to join our team at VanGuard Flooring Inc. As a Flooring Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining various types of flooring, including resilient flooring, hardwood flooring, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Perform direct glue-down carpet installations
  • Install resilient stair components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the field
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, judgement, organized, and team player
