About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing large-scale projects or components of major projects to ensure that project deliverables are completed on time and on budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project plans, including financial responsibility for the project and management of resources.
- Lead and manage project teams, including project members and consultants, to ensure successful project completion.
- Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to ensure project goals and objectives are met.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with project team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Develop and implement effective processes to assess project risks, identify risk mitigation strategies, and monitor risk throughout the project life cycle.
- Develop and implement a sustainment plan to ensure ongoing support for new programs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline and seven (7) to ten (10) years' recent, related experience in project management.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
- Ability to utilize initiative, vision, independent thinking, and creative problem-solving abilities to implement project plans and realize project completion.
- Effective facilitation, persuasion, and negotiation skills to achieve consensus, resolve conflict, and achieve desired outcomes.

The BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS is a world-renowned HIV/AIDS Centre with a innovative, low-barrier approach to healthcare delivery in clinical practice and an integrated group of research concentrations in Laboratory Sciences, Clinical Trials, Population Health and Epidemiology, Health Economics, and Professional Education Programs.
We are a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, including Physicians, Nurses, Social Workers, and Peers, and researchers, including Health Economists, Epidemiologists, Clinical Researchers, Statisticians, Programmers, and Data Analysts, who work collaboratively to improve the health of British Columbians with HIV and communities facing socio-economic barriers in accessing healthcare.
