About Our Dream Candidate



We are seeking a highly accomplished Design Principal with a depth of experience in leading complex architectural projects from concept to completion. A seasoned leader with a strong portfolio, you will spearhead the creative vision for our most prestigious projects, driving design excellence and innovation in urban spaces.



Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement the design strategy for large-scale projects, ensuring aesthetic, functional, and sustainable excellence.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align design strategies with business development goals, maintaining the firm's competitive edge in Toronto's dynamic architecture landscape.
  • Mentor and inspire a talented team of designers, architects, and project managers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and creative exploration.
  • Engage with high-profile clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, ensuring that project designs meet the evolving needs of communities and urban spaces.
  • Drive design discussions and presentations with clients, establishing the firm's reputation as an industry leader in delivering iconic, innovative structures.
  • Oversee all phases of the design process, from conceptual development through project completion, ensuring adherence to budget, timelines, and regulatory standards.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously integrating new ideas and approaches into the firm's design ethos.
  • Promote sustainable design practices and ensure projects meet or exceed environmental and energy performance standards.


Requirements


  • Registered and licensed with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA).
  • 15+ years of professional experience in architecture and design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale projects in the institutional, commercial, public, or residential sectors.
  • Expertise in design excellence, sustainable practices, and regulatory frameworks in Ontario.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both clients and teams effectively.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a diversity of high-profile architectural projects.
