Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at Halton Healthcare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing expert nutrition care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize expertise in nutrition screening and assessment to identify the specific nutritional needs of diverse patient demographics.
  • Assess the effectiveness of nutrition care plans and recommend necessary adjustments as required.
  • Employ professional discretion to modify and implement guidelines, protocols, and professional care standards in response to evolving patient needs.
  • Analyze emerging trends and advancements in dietary methodologies, exploring their suitability for integration into the clinical nutrition regimen.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions and in-service educational initiatives to educate healthcare professionals on nutrition-related topics.
Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nutrition with completion of an accredited dietetic internship program.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario. Membership in Dietitians of Canada is an asset.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital setting.
  • Broad-based understanding of clinical nutrition needs across diverse patient populations.
  • Experience with Enteral and Parenteral nutrition support is required.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to advocate effectively on behalf of patients and the profession.
  • Ability to effectively use information technology to enhance and support their practices.
Additional Information

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, with hour shifts (subject to change based on operational requirements). The salary range is $ to $ per hour.
