Job Description:

At QCA Systems & QCA Insights, we are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to utilize your skills in industrial automation, control systems design, and software development to deliver high-quality projects.

About the Role:
- Design and implement control systems for industrial applications, including process control, quality control, and safety control systems.
- Develop software systems for industrial applications, including automation programming, data acquisition, and process monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify project requirements and develop solutions that meet customer needs.
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure successful project delivery and meet project goals.
- Travel to client sites as required to perform work, including occasional night shifts or on-call duties.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design control systems for industrial applications, including process control, quality control, and safety control systems.
- Implement software systems for industrial applications, including automation programming, data acquisition, and process monitoring.
- Document software designs on suitable platforms, including technical documentation and code comments.
- Perform FAT testing in the office or at client sites to a documented test plan.
- Commission services at client sites as needed, which may require work outside regular hours.

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in industrial automation, control systems design, and software development.
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Experience with PLC programming, preferably with Rockwell experience.
- Good understanding of networking and switches, Wonderware HMI experience, and flexible work arrangements.
- Strong technical documentation writing skills, experience working on medium and large-scale projects, and excellent problem-solving skills.
