Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Galactica Logistics Inc. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining our fleet of tractor-trailers, ensuring timely delivery of goods and materials to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operations: Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, and oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of the vehicle and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform preventive maintenance, including routine checks and repairs, to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communication and Record-Keeping: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) and a valid passport, as well as a basic security clearance and a clean driving record.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train, with a focus on long-haul, national, and international transportation experience.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 hours per week.
