About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Processing Specialist to join our team at Finest Sausage & Meat. As a key member of our meat cutting department, you will be responsible for preparing and processing high-quality meats for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Prepare Meats: Clean and trim meats to prepare them for processing or cutting, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  • Special Cuts and Orders: Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers, using your expertise to create unique and delicious products.
  • Standard Cuts and Packaging: Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat, wrapping and packaging them for sale.
  • Meat Preparation and Display: Remove bones from meat, weigh meats for sale, and cut poultry into parts, all while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Sales and Customer Service: Sell meats to customers, providing excellent customer service and ensuring their satisfaction with our products.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers, providing guidance and support to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Product Development: Assist in the development of new products, such as special sausages, and prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  • Physical Demands: Meet the physical demands of the role, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects.
  • Personal Qualities: Possess excellent client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, and a high level of organization and reliability.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
